This policy explains what personal data Startup Weekend Skopje collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers this website and the event itself.

Who we are

Startup Weekend Skopje is organized by Startup Club Skopje, which is responsible for your personal data. You can reach us at startupclubsk@gmail.com.

This website

This website does not use cookies and does not ask you for any personal data. We count visits with GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics service that stores no cookies and does not identify visitors. We see only totals: which pages were visited, which buttons were clicked, the referring website, and the approximate screen size and country.

Like every website, our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs (IP address, browser, time of the request) to keep the site running and secure.

The map of the venue is loaded from OpenStreetMap only when you press the button to open it.

Buying a ticket

Tickets are sold by our ticketing partner, mktickets.mk. Payment is handled entirely by them under their own privacy policy; we never see your card details. We receive the details you give at checkout, such as your name and email address, so that we can confirm your place and organize the event.

Applying as a mentor

If you apply to be a mentor, the form sends what you enter (your name, email, phone, role, LinkedIn and your message) to us by email through Formspree, a form service that processes it on our behalf. We use it only to review your application and contact you about the event.

Applying as a sponsor

If you apply to sponsor the event, the form sends your company, name, email, phone and message to us by email through Formspree, in the same way. We use it only to discuss the sponsorship with you.

At the event

• We use your name and contact details to send you practical information before, during and shortly after the weekend.
• Your name and team may appear on name badges, in team lists and in the final pitch programme.
• We take photos and video during the event and may publish them on this website and our social media. If you do not want to appear in them, tell an organizer on the day or write to us, and we will respect it.
• If you agree to it, we may email you about future events. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the services we need to run the event (ticketing, email, forms, hosting) and, where needed, with the venue for access to the building.

How long we keep it

Participant data is kept for up to 12 months after the event, and then deleted, unless you have agreed to hear about future events.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete your personal data, or to stop using it. Write to startupclubsk@gmail.com and we will reply within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the Personal Data Protection Agency of North Macedonia (azlp.mk).
